The next task for Strong Suit this season is to take on the 14-time Group One winner Goldikova in the Breeders' Cup Mile at Churchill Downs on November 5.
Richard Hannon's three-year has had a fantastic season winning the Jersey Stakes at Ascot in July, the Lennox Stakes at Goodwood and more recently the Burj Khalifa Challenge Stakes at Newmarket.
It will be a step up in class for Strong Suit who will have to topple the French superstar who is aiming for her fourth consecutive victory in the race on the Breeders' Cup card. Even people looking at the Grand National betting will be keeping an eye on things.
Hannon's runner is now finally living up to his two-year old form, in which big things were expected from him after winning his opening two races on the racecourse. A breathing operation earlier this year has helped him hit top form once again and produce some impressive displays this season.
The colt was given a workout at Newbury on Saturday after the racing had concluded to help the runner get some experience of going round a left-handed course, like the one he will have to face at Churchill Downs next month. Those following the Grand National betting online should remember this.
David Redvers, the racing manager for his owners, the Qatar Bloodstock, believes he will be travelling to the United States in the form of his life.
"He's in great form - really, really good,” he said. “The lads are telling me he's better than he was before he went to Newmarket and if that's the case, we're delighted.
"Goldikova is the horse they've got to beat - she's a legend. But he (Strong Suit) would certainly be the biggest threat, I would think.
Richard Hughes is set to keep his ride on Strong Suit after his ban was overturned following a change to the rules regarding the whip.
